Thika Youth Basketball Camp - 30th August 2019

A one-day basketball camp at Thika Pines, running from 9 am to 4 pm, offering training and mentorship for all aspiring players involved.

U-18 Top 50 Boys Camp - 27th - 29th August 2019

This camp gathered the top 50 boys from Nairobi, providing intensive three-day training and development for the region’s most promising young athletes.

Wote Basketball Camp - 18th August 2019

A one-day basketball clinic at Wote Sports Ground, focusing on skill development and providing mentorship for all participants eager to enhance their game.

TRAINING CAMPS & CLINICS

PK hosted a series of training camps and clinics aimed at providing focused, intensive skill development for athletes. These events successfully enhanced participants’ basketball abilities through expert coaching, boosting their confidence while fostering teamwork and preparing them for higher levels of competition. In addition to the training sessions, we organized special events and programs that engaged the community and promoted the sport of basketball. These unique experiences showcased local talent, raised awareness, and strengthened community connections, leaving participants with memorable experiences and supporting broader basketball initiatives. The combination of skill development and community engagement underscored our commitment to empowering athletes and nurturing the love of basketball within our community.

Jnr NBA ToT-30th & 31st August 2018

PK was invited by Kita Matungulu, NBA Africa’s Director of Operations, to facilitate a Training of Trainers session for Jnr NBA 2018 in DIWOPA, Kayole. The two-day event saw 120 coaches participating. PK’s role was crucial in enhancing the trainers’ skills and preparing them for the Jnr NBA edition, ultimately improving the quality of youth basketball programs in the region and promoting the sport’s growth.

Hope Basketball Pre Tour-28th July 2018

To gather resources for the tour, PK, with Kenya Diaspora Sports Organization (KDSO) from Dallas and Legacy Grill, hosted a fundraising concert. The funds were used to ship basketballs and equipment for the August 2018 camps. This initiative provided necessary gear to ensure the participants had quality tools, helping to improve basketball development and offering opportunities for young players to grow in the sport.

Upper Hill Coaching Clinic-27th & 28th August 2018

PK, in partnership with the Nairobi Basketball Association and Coach Cliff Owuor, held a two-day coaching clinic at Upper Hill School. Thirty coaches and players participated in the clinic, which included both theory and practical sessions aimed at improving coaching techniques and player skills, further contributing to basketball development in Nairobi.

Nakuru Camp
2018

The Nakuru Camp, held at Menengai Girls, attracted over 70 participants and 15 coaches. Each coach received 10 reversible jerseys, while the school received a set of jerseys and basketballs. The local “Rainmakers” team also benefited from two sets of reversible uniforms, all part of an effort to enhance training and basketball growth in Nakuru.

National Team Training
17th August 2018

PK was invited by the national team coach to assist in training sessions, sharing his basketball journey and motivating players. Each team member received reversible jerseys and gear. PK’s involvement inspired the players, helping to elevate their game and mindset as they prepared for upcoming competitions, offering valuable advice on both technical skills and personal development.

Yala Mini Basketball Academy
2018

PK conducted a one-day camp in Yala, attended by 50 kids and 15 coaches. He donated 20 pairs of shoes, 10 basketballs, and practice gear. The camp provided young players and coaches with the opportunity to improve their skills while gaining access to better equipment. This initiative aimed to support basketball development in rural areas, empowering youth through sports and mentorship in Western Kenya.

Vikapu Elite Basketball Camp-17th August 2018

Held at Strathmore University, the Vikapu Elite Basketball Camp saw 27 campers participate in shooting and defense drills. PK emphasized balancing life, education, and basketball. An interactive session followed, with campers asking questions and engaging in a shooting contest. Paul Ebanda won and received compression tights. The camp encouraged holistic growth, teaching players to excel both on the court and in life.

Umoja Elite Basketball Academy-2018

PK conducted a three-hour camp at Umoja Elite Basketball Academy, donating 63 pairs of shorts, 30 reversible jerseys, t-shirts, and five basketballs. The camp focused on enhancing the skills of young players while also providing the academy with much-needed equipment. This initiative supported the academy’s mission to nurture basketball talent, helping to grow the sport within the Umoja community through improved training.

Soweto 2018

PK conducted a three-hour clinic in Soweto, where he worked with young players, improving their basketball skills. In addition to the clinic, he donated basketball jerseys and shorts, providing the participants with essential training gear. This initiative supported the development of basketball in Soweto, empowering the youth through better access to sports equipment and coaching.

Safe Spaces 2018

At the Safe Spaces program, PK presented a set of basketball uniforms donated by Angelo State women’s basketball team to support the local women’s team. The donation aimed to empower female athletes by providing them with quality gear. This contribution helped to enhance women’s basketball in the community, offering better opportunities for young female players to grow and develop their skills.

Kisumu 2018

PK conducted a three-day basketball camp in Kisumu, attracting 80 kids and 10 coaches. The Kisumu Lakers received warm-up jerseys, and the local organizing basketball branch was given reversible uniforms. The camp aimed to elevate basketball in the region, offering training, mentorship, and resources to empower young athletes and coaches, strengthening the local basketball community.

Media Tour 2018

With support from Sports Connect Africa, PK was featured on KTN TV and Radio Jambo for interviews about his basketball journey and plans for the sport’s future in Kenya. During these appearances, PK shared insights on the state of basketball in the country and addressed listener questions, raising awareness about basketball development and his vision for growing the sport nationwide.
